Our story starts in early 2015 when a surf doodle of North Carolina and a shaka hand sparked a journey that would define the heart and soul of State of Shaka.

Using our simple design we decide to launch a Kickstarter campaign with a singular mission - sell t-shirts to help sponsor surf camps for underserved youth in our our hometown community of Wilmington, NC.

In the span of one incredible month, we raised an astounding $5,000, a testament to the power of community and shared purpose.

Just like that State of Shaka was born - not just as a surf brand but as a symbol of our commitment to using our passion for surfing to create positive change.
